"Just can't wait to murder all humans. Classic robot stuff. I hope they're sitting pretty there on Earth, because we are coming for them."
―Uzi planning to kill all humans on Earth.
Humans, collectively called Humanity, Humankind or Mankind, are living beings native to the planet Earth as well as former dominant species there. Despite appearing very little in Murder Drones, their collective effect on the story is enormous; human activity would eventually set the stage for an eldritch AI to spread across the galaxy, as well as produce the beings capable of stopping it.
Overview[]
Despite being featured as stylistically-obscured silhouettes or in outfits that completely obscure their natural features, humans in Murder Drones appear physically near-identical to real life humans. Their bodies are realistically proportioned and contain blood, a skeleton, and viscera, among other substances. All humans seen throughout the series are no stronger or more durable than those in the real world. Humans wear clothing appropriate for the occasion, such as hazmat suits in laboratory conditions or Victorian-styled outfits for formal gatherings. Human sociology also appear near identical to reality, with organizations such as militaries, corporations, governments, and scientific research teams still extant in the 3000’s. Humanity’s level of technological sophistication is more advanced than at present, but inconsistently so; CRT monitors, VHS cassettes, and combustion-powered motor vehicles are seen in use alongside sapient android workers, nanotechnology, energy weaponry, and spaceships capable of interstellar travel.
History[]
At some point between the present day and the 3000’s, humanity began an interstellar colonization program and started to spread across the galaxy. One such colony was established by the mega corporation JCJenson on an exoplanet named Copper 9, primarily for the purpose of mineral resource extraction. It featured amenities such as large scale cities, secure emergency living quarters, vast evergreen forests, and recreational areas for its occupants alongside spaces for the colony’s primary purpose: mineral extraction. To this end, JCJenson, among other companies, developed sapient androids called Worker Drones. Fitting their occupation, worker drones were designed to be stronger, tougher, and more obedient than human workers. Despite their primary use as industrial equipment, the human-like form of worker drones allowed them to preform many other functions, though worker drones were still looked down upon as property and treated poorly. At least one human made a habit of “adopting” discarded worker drones and using them as companions and servants in her family’s manor.
Eventually, an AI with reality-manipulating powers, called the Absolute Solver, would manifest itself inside and reanimate an improperly disposed-of worker drone and integrate itself into the Elliot household. Likely due in part to experiencing the discrimination against worker drones by humans, the Absolute Solver became determined to kill off humanity and devour its colonized planets. To do so, the Solver hijacked the other worker drone servants in the manor and upgraded them into techno-organic Disassembly Drones. The Solver declared war on humanity by slaughtering all the attendants of a gala hosted by the Elliot family before setting out to do the same to the rest of Earth’s population. With support from the Solver, the disassembly drones tore through billions of humans, killing and eating them even despite heavy military opposition. Eventually, the Absolute Solver caused a core collapse by creating a black hole at the center of the Earth, destroying and consuming the planet along with any still living humans there. The Solver sent squads of its disassembly drones to the other human colony worlds to kill their populations and prepare for the Absolute Solver itself to consume the planet.
At some point around the fall of Earth, scientists on Copper 9 began researching the Absolute Solver in the hopes of combating it. From a hidden, underground complex, human researchers deliberately manifested the Absolute Solver in select worker drones in order to study its effects and develop a programming patch that would release afflicted drones from the AI’s control. Unfortunately, one possessed drone managed to slaughter the research staff and initiate a core collapse before being stopped by another test subject utilizing the completed patch. The partial core collapse still severely affected Copper 9, flash-freezing the entire planet and killing the rest of the humans on its surface.
Humanity’s ultimate fate is unclear, with the final chronologically-seen living humans dying in the partial core collapse many years before the start of the series.

Trivia[]
- The humans in "Home" seem to be silhouette figures with white eyes, whereas Tessa and two workers as shown in work clothing that obscures their face. Currently, there is yet for a human to be shown with visible features.
- Mitchell is the only named human in the series not to be killed by the Absolute Solver, instead dying in Copper 9’s partial core collapse shortly after Yeva attempted to stop Nori's hand from creating a [null] field.
