Nanite Acid is a corrosive liquid that is used by the Disassembly Drones as one of their many weapons to eliminate the Worker Drones that live on Copper 9.
Overview[]
Nanite Acid is found inside a tube attached to the Disassembly Drones' tails. It is also found on their headbands as glowing bulbs. It is a highly corrosive acidic substance that can dissolve into most objects it is injected into, which is done via a sharp stinger on the Disassembly Drones' tails.
Even though Nanite Acid is intended to be used against Worker Drones, it can still damage Disassembly Drones. To counter this, Disassembly Drones produce saliva that will neutralize the acid, effectively stopping the acid from functioning and reverting any damage caused to them by the acid that hurted them. This also works with worker drones as shown when Uzi and Serial Designation N first met, she stuffed her injured hand into his mouth, which stops the nanites from continuing to corrode her hand.
Appearance[]
Nanite Acid is a glowing and sticky neon-yellow liquid that appears in disassembly drones long tails and on the bulbs in their headbands. The tail is rather long, and is contained in a tube that has a stinger on it.
When N regenerated his head after it was destroyed by Uzi's railgun, one of the Nanite Acid-containing bulbs on his headband turned red for a while when he was knocked offline by Uzi Doorman's railgun, before reverting back to yellow when J slapped him in order to reboot his system and make it work again.
Abilities[]
Nanite Acid is a very effective weapon due to being highly corrosive. It is so corrosive that not even Absolute Solver carriers can regenerate their bodies. Nori Doorman was, presumably, unable to heal herself after being stung by the acidic tail of Disassembly Drones, and she had to be euthanized by her husband, Khan Doorman, to end her suffering.
Biography[]
Season 1[]
PILOT[]
While battling against his target, Uzi Doorman, Serial Designation N stung her hand with his stinger, injecting Nanite Acid that corroded and made a hole through it. However, after Uzi kills the Disassembly Drone via her railgun, (which, upon regenerating back to life, made N forget what happened the past three hours before his death) N eventually informed Uzi about their saliva being capable of healing wounds inflicted by Nanite Acid. With this revelation, Uzi ended up having her hand healed after N allowed her to stuff it in his mouth and let his saliva do the work.
Later, while trying to get into the Worker Drones' bunker, N stabbed his stinger through the Door Master Key and eventually, the panel that was keeping the blast doors closed. This made the panel malfunction because of his tail's penetration and the injection of Nanite Acid, allowing the blast doors to drop and letting N murder five Worker Drones.
At some point nearing the end of the episode, Uzi used J's stinger against her when the latter was about to end her life, jabbing it through her leg and making her retreat in a state of pain. She eventually tripped and later killed by Uzi's railgun.
Heartbeat[]
Upon seeing the core of Eldritch J making a bad attempt at sneaking away, N began stabbing it with his stinger repeatedly, before the heart eventually transformed into a small black hole that then floated away and made its escape this time.
Cabin Fever[]
While fighting against Serial Designation V, Uzi, in her Solver form, uses her tail to bite down and separate the syringe from the former's tail, with the latter now holding the syringe in her hand and was about to pierce it into the Disassembly Drone's head until she was stopped and picked up by N, who she ended up stabbing the syringe's stinger through his hand instead.
N then threw Uzi up in the air before proceeding to pop his injured hand inside his mouth and using his healing saliva to get rid of the wound he received.
